A struggle that repeats itself for me is attempting to write in 3rd person. I keep never fully connecting with the characters, and end up switching to 1st where I am most comfortable. I’ve always loved writing in 1st, but I feel some stories are better told by someone else.
Changing POV has relieved me from writer’s block a number of times, but still, I wonder where I can go to get a good grasp on writing as an outsider.
Of course, practice makes perfect.
